Mid-sized medical malpractice defense firm seeks 2 associates with 1 to 5 years of experience, for day-to-day handling of complex litigation matters. As an Associate Attorney, you work underneath a senior attorney on each case you are assigned. Your tasks include drafting legal documents, assisting with the discovery process, and performing legal research for each case. We are looking for someone who can aggressively represent our client's interests. Our ideal applicant has 1-5 years of litigation experience, preferably focused on civil and medical malpractice law.

We have both Full and Part-time positions available for this role.

Associate Attorney Duties and Responsibilities

• Drafting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, etc.
• Assist with the discovery process by conducting depositions, issuing & answering interrogatories, and reviewing legal & medical documents
• Summarize medical records
• Perform legal research
• Make court appearances as necessary
• Interact professionally with clients and insurance representatives

Associate Attorney Requirements and Qualifications

• New Jersey Bar Admission required
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• License to practice law
• Litigation experience (1-5 years)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail
