Kelly Engineering is seeking a DIRECT HIRE - Business Development Manager to join one of our leading clients in Houston, TX within the O&G and Aerospace industry.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.), Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and closing business deals.

Compensation: $90,000 - $103,000/yr

JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth.
  • The BDM will develop and implement strategies to expand the company’s market presence, establish long-term partnerships, and achieve sales targets.
  • This role requires a proactive and results-driven professional with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Analyze competitors and evaluate the company’s position in the market.

Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Identify and target potential clients through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and digital marketing.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to align strategies and ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets and develop action plans.

Reporting and Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor and report on sales performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
  • Provide regular updates to management on business development activities and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.), Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and closing business deals.

Skills: Strong understanding of market dynamics and business development principles.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
