About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of a comprehensive institutional compliance and ethics program. The CCO will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the program, coordinating with various university administrators, and ensuring compliance with a wide range of regulatory areas, including but not limited to, privacy, conflicts of interest, disability, research, information security, nondiscrimination, finance, and employment. This role involves supervising the Office of University Ethics & Compliance, providing guidance on compliance and ethics matters, and managing the institution's compliance with international, federal, and state regulations. The CCO will also be involved in training and education programs, promoting a culture of compliance and ethics, and serving as a liaison with external authorities on compliance-related issues. Applicants for the CCO position at the company should have a graduate degree or a bachelor's degree with relevant professional certifications, along with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a compliance role and 3 years of supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in compliance within higher education, government, or industry, and possess professional certifications in compliance-related areas. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills are essential, as is the ability to work with diverse stakeholders to effect institutional change. The CCO will be expected to manage the institution's EthicsPoint reporting system, participate in risk analysis, and ensure consistent and appropriate responses to non-compliance.
