Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Location: Miami, FL

Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 (DOE)

Schedule: Full-time | Flexible hours

Overview:

A well-established construction firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to manage the day-to-day operations of active job sites. This position is essential to ensuring that all construction projects are executed smoothly, stay on schedule, meet high standards of quality and safety, and are completed within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including subcontractors, tradespeople, and labor crews
• Ensure compliance with project timelines, plans, specifications, quality benchmarks, safety protocols, and local building codes
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to maintain momentum and resolve challenges
• Conduct routine site inspections to enforce safety protocols and ensure high-quality workmanship
• Monitor project progress, productivity, and cost control, identifying and resolving issues as needed
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and as-built drawings
• Foster open communication and strong working relationships with clients, project stakeholders, and field teams

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in construction, preferably with a general contractor
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, materials, and job site safety practices
• Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Bilingual English / Spanish Required

Additional Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience managing projects through all phases of design and construction
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications
• Proven ability to lead teams and build strong relationships in a fast-paced construction environment
