Job Description

Overview: M SEARCH is thrilled to partner with a growing real estate development firm in Miami on their Legal Counsel search. The client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal support and manage a broad range of corporate, real estate, and commercial legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, contract negotiation, compliance, and risk management, with the ability to work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including service agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, and real estate-related documents.
  • Provide legal guidance on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development matters.
  • Advise on corporate governance, entity formation, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support and manage outside counsel relationships and litigation matters as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks across the organization and recommend effective solutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
  • Conduct legal research and stay up to date with relevant laws and industry standards.
  • Support strategic business initiatives with sound legal insight and risk assessment.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
  • 3–5 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on real estate, corporate law, or a combination of both.
  • Experience with contract law, commercial real estate transactions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
