Position Overview:
We are seeking a professional and experienced Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our team for cross-border (Canada & US) operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods, adhering to all safety and legal regulations, and maintaining excellent communication with dispatch and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer for cross-border transportation between Canada and the United States
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods to various destinations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer
- Maintain compliance with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies
- Understand required documentation for customs and border crossings
- Communicate regularly with dispatch for updates, instructions, and problem-solving
- Follow safety protocols and handle freight with care
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of experience driving a tractor-trailer (cross-border experience preferred)
- Clean driving record (no major violations)
- Knowledge of cross-border transportation regulations and customs procedures (Canada & US)
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
