KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cruise Sales Associate is responsible for assisting the Cruise Sales Manager & Asst Mgr. in promoting and selling Next Cruise reservations and is expected to continuously strive to achieve their sales goals. This position also assists with executing the day-to-day operation of onboard sales, day-to-day cross team collaboration with Shorex, and general hotel operations of the vessel to ensure efficient and high-caliber experience for our guests. Focus on sales, ratings, voyage and monthly revenue targets, customer service, and operational goals. Leading by example, from the front of the house, the Cruise Sales Associate is expected to be one of the ship's driving advocates for delivering outstanding Customer Service and Sales Results.

JOB SKILLS/ BUSINESSACUMEN
• Minimum (1) year’ experience in Sales, preferably in an upscale hotel, travel/hospitality
company or cruise line (shipboard or Travel Agency experience preferred)
• Has worked in a sales goal environment for a minimum of 1 year
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills with an emphasis on an effective sales pitch and the ability to capture the attentionof a large audience
• Excellent customerservice andguestresolutionskillsincluding the knowledge ofthe principles
and processes for providing personalized services including needs assessment techniques,
quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation
techniques
• Strong planning, organizing and teambuilding skills
• Strong working knowledge of computers, internet and the ability to navigate within a variety
of software packagessuchas AS400, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Strong writtenandverbal communication, problem solving, and decisionmaking skills.
• Knowledge of ships, ports and itineraries: Caribbean, Europe, Baltic, South America,
Australia, Asia, Mediterranean, andAlaska
• Able to work in a fast pacedmulticultural environment

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
In addition to English, ability to speak any of the following core languages is preferred;
Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, French, German, Italian
• All shipboard employees must be able to communicate in the English language clearly,
distinctly and cordially. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and
verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests,
supervisors and co-workers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the shipboard employee is regularly required to
stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and
taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Extensive travel from ship to ship with varying accommodations and resting opportunities
requires good health. Active management of health through diet and exercise is key for
prolonged successin the position.
• All shipboard employees must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving
procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and
hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency
including the lowering of lifeboats. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move
up to 50 pounds.WORKING CONDITIONS
