Responsibilities:Execute engineering tasks, projects and manufacturing assignmentsPerform updates to the ERP as it relates to the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Recipes as needed to reflect accurate standards and execute any related time studiesSupports continuous improvement initiatives in either business process or manufacturing process work streamsDrafts protocols, technical reports and other required documentation for process validation of molds or processesCompletes 3D CAD model and 2D drawing assignments for new product designs using SolidWorksLearns basic industry regulatory requirements and applies them in his/her engineering assignmentsLearn manufacturing skill sets such as extrusion and injection molding and be able to perform various tasks associated with thoseQualifications:In pursuit of or has obtained a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical disciplineCumulative GPA of 2.9 minimumSuccessful completion of at least 2 semesters or periods of academic work including mechanical, biomedical, chemical, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical disciplineAbility to learn a structured regulatory environment with advanced quality systems such as FDA practices, ISO13485 or ISO 9001Demonstrate strong organizational skills and bias for actionTechnical writing skillsProficient in MS Word and Excel; ability to learn and apply other business softwareBasic technical knowledge of materials, such as plastic, rubber, metals and plating/coatingStrong mechanical aptitude, basic hands-on and problem-solving skillsAbility to use basic tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, force gages and other test equipmentAccurate and attentive to detailCollects and makes educated decisions based on dataOther projects which may become necessary to attend to as needs ariseThe Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
