LHH is partnering with a respected law firm in Boca Raton, FL to hire a Legal Assistant with a strong background in insurance defense litigation. This is a contract-to-hire position offering the potential for long-term growth. Candidates with construction litigation support experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys in insurance defense cases.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Manage case files, maintain docket calendars, and track deadlines.
• Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
• Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists.
• Perform data entry, billing, and other clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant in an insurance defense litigation setting.
• Experience in construction litigation is a plus.
• Proficiency with legal software (e.g., Microsoft Office, document management systems, e-filing portals).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
