Job Title : Deal Loan Closer

Location : Charlotte, NC

Duration : 3-6+ months contract

Job Description

• Looking for someone with commercial loan experience.
• Loan operations experience required.
• Possible conversion opportunities.
• Loan IQ – Highly preferred.
• 3-6 years of experience ideal but could consider college graduates with degrees aligned with the role.
• Assigned to line manager for training.
• Residential loan experience is not suitable; mortgage banking experience is not desired.
• Finance/Accounting degrees are targeted for new degrees.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Syndicated loan experience is extremely preferred – would hire this candidate if found, but acknowledge it may be difficult to find.

Loan Operations:

• Works with Front Office, Legal, and internal and external clients.
• Examines, analyzes, and interprets accounting records to prepare statements and/or advise management.
• Ability to mentor junior team members as needed.

Deal Setup and Funding Analyst:

• Initiate collaboration across multiple teams to effectively interpret loan documentation for the accurate processing of new deals.
• Own the coordination of principal and fee-related closing payments.
• Maintain accountability for gathering all required documentation prior to deal closing while working with Transaction Coordinators and other partners.
• Actively manage and prioritize a pipeline of assigned transactions.
• Govern and reconcile exception reports related to recently closed transactions.
• Analyze amendments made to existing agreements and/or deal structure characteristics and effectively communicate the changes to account managers.
• Consistently provide accurate data while maintaining a low-quality control error rate.
