Job Description

We are seeking a professional Medical Billing/AR Specialist to join a growing team in the Liberty/Easley, SC area. This is a full time, onsite opportunity. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the medical billing industry.

Positions Responsibilities:

• Resolving failed claims issues between EMR & Billing Software
• Reviewing and resolving claims scrubs and edits (demographic errors, missing modifiers, etc)
• Payer correspondence (denials, letters, payer requests)
• Following up on aged AR
• Sending appeals
• Transmitting claims to insurance (both electronic and paper, primary and secondary)
• Researching and resolving payer or clearinghouse rejections (coverage termed, invalid ID#s, etc.)
• Some client and patient interaction (i.e. customer service)
• Entering of claims.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of medical benefits and their plans
• Understanding the revenue cycle.
• Comfort with calling payers.
• Critical thinking
• Heavy research
• Organized, multi-tasker, attention to detail

Hours:

• Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
• ONSITE

Compensation & Benefits:

• $18 - $25 hourly
