Day To Day Responsibilities Monitoring and Maintenance Monitor network performance, including bandwidth usage, latency, and uptime. Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updating IOS upgrades, and checking hardware health (software and hardware refresh of network devices). Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware failures, and configuration errors. Provide technical support to users experiencing network-related issues. Configuration and Setup Set up and configure network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Assist in expanding the network infrastructure by adding new devices and ensuring proper integration. Documentation and Reporting Maintain detailed records of network configurations, changes, and incidents. Generate reports on network performance, issues resolved, and recommendations for improvements. Collaboration Work closely with other IT staff, including onsite EUC and offshore support teams, to ensure seamless network operations. These tasks help maintain a stable and secure network environment, ensuring that all users can work efficiently without interruptions. Qualifications Routing protocols – BGP, configuring BGP Communities, managing BGP, OSPF, EIGRP. Good understanding of LAN and WAN connectivity designs. Ability to configure Cisco Router Hardware: ASR and ISR. Experience with Cisco Nexus & Catalyst Switches like N5k, N7k, C9200, C9300, C9500. Configuring Cisco DMVPN & Zscaler Cloud for Internet traffic. Strong experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers / Access Points. Analysis of Cisco ISE and integrating with WLC and EAP TLS Authentication. Nice to have: F5 load balancer, Infoblox, Splunk, Thousand Eyes, Meraki. Monitoring Tool: SolarWinds. Ticketing Tool: Service-Now. Ability to provide adequate onsite support to resolve network issues like device support/configuration and end-user testing.
