Sentara Health is currently hiring for a Patient Care Specialist for Sentara Martha Jefferson Internal Medicine in Charlottesville, VA!

Status: Full-Time,permanent position (40 hours)

Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F.

Location: Will report daily at Sentara Martha Jefferson Internal Medicine: 590 Peter Jefferson Pkwy STE 100, Charlottesville, VA 22911.

As a Patient Care Specialist with Sentara Health, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. Required job qualifications:

Three (3) years Clerical, Customer Service experience REQUIRED.

One year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers REQUIRED.

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED.

An Associate's level degree in lieu of the required experience will be considered

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems preferred.

Job Summary

Provides non-clinical support within the clinic/practice environment and ensures an exceptional patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery.
