Position Summary

The Healthcare Business Consultant plays a critical role in bridging business needs with technology solutions across healthcare operations. This role supports strategic initiatives by gathering and refining business requirements, analyzing provider and claims data, and delivering actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Provider Networking stakeholders to deliver accurate, consistent, and insightful provider solutions.
Analyze provider and medical claims data to support business decisions and improve operational outcomes.
Gather and document business requirements; participate in testing and issue resolution.
Develop business cases and support financial modeling to justify strategic initiatives.
Act as a liaison between business units and IT to align technical solutions with business goals.
Create and deliver presentations to influence stakeholders and support decision-making.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities and meeting deadlines.
Apply Agile methodologies and solution development best practices.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Economics, or Finance.
3+ years of experience in a Provider Networking or Health Care Management analyst role.
Strong experience with provider and medical claims data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound judgment and initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Provider Network and Contracting.
AHIP Certification.
Knowledge of healthcare legislation and government reporting.
Financial acumen and experience with strategic consulting.
Familiarity with data/information management principles and enterprise data strategies.
