Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled RF Cellular Engineer with expertise in automotive/robot applications to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and optimization of RF cellular systems and components integrated into automotive/robot platforms. This role will play a critical part in ensuring reliable and efficient communication systems within connected vehicles and robots.
Responsibilities - Develop and design RF circuits, antenna systems, and cellular communication modules tailored for automotive/robot applications
- Integrate RF and cellular components into automotive/robot platforms, ensuring compatibility with system architectures
- Conduct RF performance testing, including sensitivity, power, and interference analysis
- Optimize cellular connectivity for 4G LTE, 5G, and other emerging technologies under diverse Tesla product operating conditions
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve issues related to signal quality, interference, or hardware/software malfunctions
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, including FCC, 3GPP, and ISO
- Work closely with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of RF systems into vehicles
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in RF and cellular communications
Requirements - 10+ years of experience in RF design and testing, preferably in automotive or telecommunication sectors
- Hands-on experience with cellular communication technologies (e.g., 4G LTE, 5G, NB-IoT)
- Expertise in using RF test equipment such as call box, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators
- Familiarity with RF circuit design, tuning, and integration
- Knowledge of communication protocols like TCP/IP, CAN, and LIN
- Familiarity with RF simulation and design tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, MATLAB, CST)
- Experience with automotive-grade communication systems and standards (e.g., V2X, DSRC
- Understanding of EMC/EMI mitigation techniques in automotive environments
- Familiarity with vehicle network architectures and infotainment systems

Expected Compensation $118,320 - $273,480/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
