Position Summary:

Hanwha Convergence USA (HCU) is a leading provider of O&M Servies for Solar and Energy Storage Systems, leveraging our industry-leading IT and engineering capabilities. The training manager will lead the Hanwha Convergence in-house training programs and certification process. Working with other key internal stake holders and external training partners the training manager will develop and maintain the program for Hanwha Convergence to grow and train HCU technicians from entry level through senior technical roles in order to maintain an impeccable safety and training record. In addition to the technical office training the training manager will also be responsible for training and certifying our team members with OJT for specific OEM partners of HCU.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership oversight of the corporate training structure and processes.
  • Design and implement training curriculum and continually update with release of new policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with Field Operations, Technical Services, ROC, and Technical Operations to ensure our classes and programs are focused on skills needed to perform the job responsibly and safe.
  • Collect, analyze, and submit training records and certification to ISNetworld and other agencies that require update records in order for HCU to provide services.
  • Ensure training deadlines are met and work with managers to ensure team members are up to date on all required trainings.
  • Perform technical audits.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to demonstrate program performance.
  • Participate in industry meetings and conferences to stay informed about current and future requirements and assess their impact on Hanwha Convergence USA.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field with 5+ years of experience training technicians in electrical trade
  • Willingness to travel 50%

Preferred:

  • Solar and BESS OEM certifications

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Working in an office environment
  • Working in the field
  • Ability to traverse difficult terrain
