Kelly Engineering currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Mechanical Planner in Orange, Texas! The Mechanical Planner will create and assemble a quality job package that ensures safe and efficient execution of the job scope in the field. Quality refers to job package accuracy and job package value.

\n PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE: \n

\n\t
• Ensures job plans adhere to EH&S Standards and local regulations and standards that are legally required or more stringent than EH&S Standards. \n\t
• Utilizes the Elevated Work Access Selection Tool for identification of safe, alternate means of access to reduce worker risk.\n\t
• Job Package Accuracy (zero errors and omissions, no field changes)\n\t
• Ensure job package content conforms to GMWP Step 2.1.11 (Job Plan Package Contents) and includes flange tags, flange tag listing, Bill of Materials, torque and pipe specs.\n\t
• Review PM (Plant Maintenance) orders for technical completeness and scope clarity. Send PM orders back to gatekeeper if incomplete or insufficient to complete a job plan.\n\t
• Walk the job in the field, even if plan was pulled from archive records, to verify field conditions and confirm equipment matches job scope.\n\t
• Verify all component parts meet pipe and material specs, field dimensions, equipment orientation and constructability. Outdated or P&IDs inconsistent with equipment specs as verified in the field must be returned to operations for correction and clarification. \n\t
• Job steps, man-hours and planned costs (including PO costs) in SAP must be accurate. Review and confirm job step durations, job step sequencing, support equipment requirements and crew sizes from contractors assigned to do the work.\n\t
• Collaborate with TAC and MES (maintenance engineering services) to reduce or modify inspection scope of work and resultant support needs to ensure no changes occur during execution. \n\t
• Minimize contingencies and adding cushion to planned man hours and costs.\n\t
• Markup and add to job package documents such as P&IDs, equipment drawings, torque and piping specs. Verify P&IDs and engineering drawings match the equipment in the field. \n\t
• For long lead-time or non-stocked parts/equipment that must be purchase ordered, obtain quote and lead time from vendor or request materials coordinator to obtain this information and update SAP to ensure planned costs are accurate. Confirm delivery date conforms to field need date, track delivery status weekly and expedite as needed.\n\t
• Validate correctness of PO (purchase ordered, non-stocked) parts with appropriate subject matter expert as necessary before ordering such as but not limited to Reliability Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Tech (SME), Operations Tech Advisor, Materials Coordinator, Vendor and TA Coordinator.\n

\n Qualifications: \n\n

• HS Diploma or equivalent\n\t
• At least 3-5 years of related experience \n\t
• Proficiency in MS Office\n\t
• Familiarity with SAP\n\t
• Background within Planning is preferred!\n\t
• Teamwork and leadership skills\n
