Job Description

You’re the Missing Piece Between Legal and Legendary!

Are you a sharp legal professional with a knack for contracts, compliance, and commercial strategy? We’re hiring a Corporate Legal Counsel to join a high-performing legal team at a global, multibillion-dollar company in the energy sector. You’ll work directly with senior legal and business leadership, advising on everything from U.S. sanctions to intellectual property. If you're collaborative, commercially savvy, and want a seat at the table—this is it! Apply now to take your legal career to the next level—with a team that values strategic thinking, integrity, and actual work-life balance.

Why Work Here:

  • Competitive Compensation – Base salary + short-term bonus + long-term incentive plan (up to 150% payout).
  • Collaborative Culture – Work with cross-functional teams that actually value legal insight.
  • Career Growth – Direct mentorship from senior legal leaders with a clear path to General Counsel.

What You’ll Do:

  • Negotiate, draft, and manage a variety of legal agreements (MSAs, NDAs, leases, contractor agreements, etc.)
  • Advise internal teams on legal risks, contract interpretation, and compliance with U.S. laws and regulations (including sanctions and trade rules)
  • Manage commercial litigation and receivables-related disputes
  • Support the protection and expansion of the company’s IP and patent portfolio
  • Assist with M&A activity, corporate governance, and internal policy development
  • Act as a true business partner—not just legal counsel—across cross-functional teams

What You Bring:

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school + active bar admission (any U.S. state)
  • 4-10 years of experience in corporate law (in-house or law firm)
  • Industry experience in energy or oil & gas is required
  • Strong understanding of compliance issues, especially U.S. sanctions and trade regulations
  • Skilled in legal negotiation with a commercial mindset
  • A balance of independence and collaboration—you take initiative but know when to team up
  • Bonus points if you’re calm under pressure and can translate legalese into business English

This position requires legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
