The ServiceNow Solution Architect – Cloud Capabilities is responsible for providing architectural guidance and best practices in designing and developing tools and which enable ServiceNow cloud capabilities for McKesson Technology. In this role, you will be responsible for working with our partners and teams to establish, integrate, and continuously evolve best practice processes in ServiceNow. You will also provide input to the ServiceNow cloud enablement roadmap, including onboarding integrations, processes, assets, and other relevant components to a unified ServiceNow platform to ensure consistent level of quality and service across the Enterprise. This role demands strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and delivering cloud-native solutions, enabling business outcomes while ensuring adherence to security and compliance requirements. Responsibilities include establishing standards and practices for maintaining the ServiceNow Cloud capabilities, designing and implementing cloud enablement workflows, leading technical evaluation of demands against ServiceNow features, directing prototyping and deployment acceleration, partnering with enterprise architecture and internal stakeholders, advising on configuration and coding standards, supporting remediation of configurations, overseeing cloud-related capabilities and workflows, partnering with cloud engineering teams, providing expertise on platform roadmap, maintaining detailed solution architecture documentation, and participating in training and enablement activities. Minimum requirements include a degree or equivalent experience with typically 10+ years of professional/technical experience, strong experience in IT architecture, IT Service Management and/or Cloud computing roles, understanding and experience with ServiceNow IT Operations Management capabilities, strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform data model, technical foundation in Now Platform, knowledge in database design and cloud application technology, and requirements gathering experience. Additional skills include excellent communication, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation skills, experience designing systems to optimize IT operations, and relevant professional certifications. Education preferred is a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
