Position: Training and Development Manager

Location: San Antonio, TX 78227

Salary: $100,000-130,000/year (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• 5+ years' experience designing and implementing employee development programs
• Proficient in MS office suite - Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills

Plusses:

• Six Sigma certification
• PMP certification
• Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)

Day-to-Day:

An employer in the San Antonio area is looking for a motivated Training and Development Manager to join their team. This individual should come from a strong training and development background, with proven experience in creating and transforming organizational standardization, documentation, and procedures in all aspects of training. The training and development manager will initial work to assess company-wide developmental needs, consolidate existing training materials, and identify and arrange suitable training solutions. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to teach, develop, enhance performance and recognize performance.

This person will be an individual contributor, backed by executive leadership, to own the creation and implementation of a unified training method. The key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:

• Analyze employee training needs and develop or modify training programs
• Evaluate current training programs and provide recommendations for improvement
• Develop training and educational materials for current staff and new hires, including written documentation, visual aids, multimedia tools, training booklets, FAQs, etc.
• Plan and implement staff development and training programs to include classroom training, demonstrations, meetings, and on-the-job training
• Conducts annual training and development needs assessment of all completed training to evaluate and measure results for continuous development and continuous improvement
